7.Hikes,treks,camps:

1.Periodical hikes, treks and camps for Scouts must be encouraged and arranged.

2. A Scout who wishes to go on a hike or trek within the District must obtain permission of the District Commissioner through the Scout Master.

3. For hikes or treks outside District, besides permission of the parent or guardian, permission of the State Commissioner (Scout) through the District Commissioner (S) of the District to which the Scouts belong has to be obtained. 4,5,6,7,8,9,10……..8.SCOUTS & GUIDES CAMP:

Please make the Scouts/Guides attend the  Basic & Advanced Level (both 2 days) Camps without fail, to train all our Tiruvallur District Scouts & Guides in

1.Rajya Puraskar (State Level Highest Award)

2.Rashtrapati Award (National Level Highest Award)

3.Standard Judging Competitions (P,PS,DS,TS, RP,RA & District, Zonal, State, Regional, National Level)

4.Jamboree Awards (National Level gathering of Scouts/Guides of nearly 24000 once in 4 years), we invite Minimum 12 and Maximum 24 Scouts/Guides from each Unit (only 8th & 9th Standard) of Newly starting/started and already running Scouts/ Guides Units, accompanied by a Scouter/ a Guider, who will also be benefitted in the Advancement of Adult Training like Basic to Advanced, Advanced to Himalayan Wood Badge and so on.

9.  DEN/ BOOKS/EQUIPMENT /MAGAZINES:

DEN:  Please provide a room/almirah for the Scout/Guide activities and keeping the equipments, records, books, magazines etc.

10.  ANNUAL DAY/ HERO DAY/ FOUNDATION DAY:
Please encourage the activities of Camps, Hikes, Outings, Patrol Leaders Training Camps, Dwitiya Sopan / Tritiya Sopan Training  Camps, Standard Judging Competitions, Sports competitions, Drawing /Painting/Singing/Dancing competitions, Community Development Projects, First Aid Service, Hospital Service, Eye donation, Blood donation, Joint venture programmes with other Associations, Patrol Pioneering Projects, etc. ............. and celeberate the Annual Day/Hero Day/Foundation Day - wherein you may distribute the prizes, awards, certificates to the winners and runners of the above programmes.

11. REPORTS TO THE DISTRICT:
Whenever a programme is being conducted by you at the Unit level, you may send the report of the activity with Photos to the District Office immediately, for record and onward submission to the State/National for publishing in the respective Bulletins.  That is the evidence of the Unit which is functioning successfully and that is the talent of the Scouter/Guider who is ably assisting/guiding the Scout/Guide Unit successfully.

12. GROUP COUNCIL:*Scouters, Guiders   *GL –Chairman  *deal with –training tests, programmes, camps and hikes – report to DC.  *Annual report, Census report to District Secretary.

13.GROUP COMMITTEE:*Parents, former Scouts,Guides; interested persons; Chairman –elected by the Group Committee.   *GL –member secretary    *responsible for Group management except training and tests of Scouts and Guides.  *responsible for the property, movable and immovable.   *shall assist GL with finance and accommodation and such other facilities as may be necessary for the progress and welfare of the Group.
